Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are said to be worth their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they strictly act as the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven and five will have a total score of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card can be given depending on the following codes:
- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, the two bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have money still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Baccarat Tactics

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
