Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are give a value of face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply portray the 2 hands to be played).
Two hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 … five gives a score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card can be dealt depending on the foll. regulations:
- If the gambler or banker has a tally of eight or 9, each gamblers stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie normally pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes nine to 1. (This is an awful bet as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. However odds are thoroughly better – nine to 1 versus eight to 1)
When done correctly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is not an indicator of future results. Monitoring of old outcomes on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most popular and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-3-two-six technique. This schema is employed to maximize winnings and cutting back risk.
Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
