Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards below a value of ten are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they strictly act as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand will be the sum of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five results in a total score of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be given out depending on the following protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or nine, each bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie customarily pays eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad wager as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Even so odds are appreciably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is not a predictor of future events. Monitoring of prior results on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful tactic is the one-three-two-six concept. This technique is employed to accentuate payout and minimizing risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
