Baccarat Banque Rules
Baccarat chemin de fer is gambled on with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at face value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the sum total of the cards, but the first digit is dropped. e.g., a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (five plus 6 equals eleven; drop the initial ‘1′).
A third card may be given out using the rules below:
- If the player or house achieves a total of eight or 9, the two players stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players holds otherwise.
- If the gambler stands, the bank hits on a value less than five. If the player hits, a table is employed to see if the banker holds or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The better of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the bank pay out 19 to 20 (even payout minus a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and cleared out when you quit the game so be sure to have money left over just before you head out). Winning bets on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for tie normally pays eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties occur lower than one in every ten hands. Avoid gambling on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for nine to one vs. 8:1)
Wagered on correctly punto banco gives fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Method
As with all games Baccarat has a few familiar myths. One of which is close to a myth in roulette. The past is not an indicator of events yet to happen. Keeping track of past results at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most established and probably the most acknowledged course of action is the one, three, two, six tactic. This technique is used to pump up winnings and limit losses.
Begin by placing 1 unit. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a total of three dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will retain 6 on the game table, remove 4 so you keep two on the third bet. Should you succeed on the third wager, put down 2 on the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the 1st round, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first round followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Success on the first two with a hit on the third provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the 1st 3 with a loss on the 4th means you break even. Winning at all four rounds gives you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you can lose the 2nd round 5 instances for every favorable run of four rounds and still are even.
