Baccarat Regulations
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards of a value less than 10 are said to be worth their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they only act as the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 results in a total of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be given out depending on the foll. rules:
- If the player or banker has a score of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to 1 but on occasion 9 to one. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. abstain from laying money on a tie. However odds are greatly better – nine to one versus 8 to one)
Played effectively, baccarat offers generally good odds, away from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future actions. Tracking of last conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and probably most successful technique is the one-3-2-6 concept. This method is used to pump up profits and limiting risk.
Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
