Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are valued at their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely appear as the two hands to be dealt).
2 hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven and 5 gives a value of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card may be given out depending on the following codes:
- If the player or banker has a total score of eight or 9, then both bettors stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Successful stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have funds left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pay out 8 to one and sometimes 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties happen less than 1 every ten hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Nonetheless odds are especially better – nine to one vs. 8 to 1)
When played correctly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of historic outcomes on a chart is a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and probably most successful method is the one-3-2-six method. This plan is employed to amplify payout and limiting risk.
start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th bet.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
