Baccarat Standards
Baccarat banque is bet on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards under 10 are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, although the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a score of one (five plus 6 equals 11; ditch the first ‘1′).
A third card may be given based on the following rules:
- If the player or bank achieves a score of eight or nine, the two players stay.
- If the gambler has less than five, she hits. Players otherwise stand.
- If the player holds, the house takes a card on a total less than 5. If the player takes a card, a chart is employed to see if the banker stays or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19:20 (equal cash minus a 5 percent rake. Commission are tracked and cleared out once you quit the game so ensure you still have funds around before you head out). Winning bets on the player pays 1:1. Winning bets for a tie usually pays eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a poor wager as a tie occurs less than one in every 10 hands. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8:1)
Gambled on correctly baccarat gives relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Method
As with all games punto banco has some accepted misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Keeping track of previous results on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that gave its life for our paper needs.
The most established and probably the most accomplished method is the one, three, two, six method. This tactic is used to pump up profits and limit risk.
Start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three dollars on the second bet. If you win you will hold 6 on the table, subtract four so you are left with 2 on the third wager. Should you succeed on the 3rd bet, put down 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.
If you do not win on the initial round, you take a loss of one. A win on the initial round followed by a hit on the second creates a loss of two. Success on the 1st two with a loss on the third provides you with a take of two. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the 4th means you break even. Winning at all 4 wagers leaves you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you are able to squander the 2nd wager 5 instances for every successful streak of four wagers and still break even.
