Punto Banco Principles
Baccarat banque is enjoyed with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are valued at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the total of the cards, however the beginning digit is ignored. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (5 plus 6 = 11; drop the first ‘one’).
A third card could be given depending on the rules below:
- If the player or banker has a score of 8 or nine, the two players hold.
- If the gambler has less than five, she takes a card. Players holds otherwise.
- If the player holds, the banker takes a card on five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to determine if the bank stays or takes a card.
Punto Banco Odds
The better of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to Twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission are recorded and paid off when you leave the table so be sure to have money left over before you depart). Winning wagers on the gambler pays out at one to one. Winning wagers for tie frequently pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen lower than one in every 10 hands. Be wary of putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 versus 8:1)
Wagered on properly baccarat chemin de fer offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Course of Action
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some familiar myths. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past is not an indicator of events yet to happen. Keeping track of past results on a chart is a poor use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.
The most accepted and probably the most successful plan is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This tactic is used to build up earnings and minimizing losses.
Begin by betting 1 chip. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a grand total of 3 units on the second bet. Should you win you will have six on the table, pull off four so you are left with two on the 3rd round. If you succeed on the 3rd round, add two on the 4 on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by a loss on the second brings about a hit of 2. Success on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you with a take of two. And wins on the 1st three with a loss on the fourth means you are even. Succeeding at all four wagers leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can squander the 2nd round five times for every favorable run of 4 rounds and still balance the books.
