Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only depict the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of 7 and 5 results in a tally of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the gambler or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to one but on occasion nine to 1. (This is a terrible bet as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Even so odds are greatly better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)

When done properly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future results. Monitoring of past results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and possibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-6 scheme. This process is used to maximize earnings and lowering risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
