Baccarat Banque Regulations

Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the beginning number is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a value of 1 (five plus 6 = 11; dump the first ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be dealt depending on the rules below:

- If the gambler or house gets a total of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has less than 5, she hits. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler stands, the banker hits on a value lower than five. If the gambler hits, a guide is used to see if the house stays or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even payout less a five percent commission. Commission are tracked and cleared out once you leave the table so make sure you still have funds around just before you quit). Winning wagers on the gambler pay 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie normally pays out at 8:1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than 1 in every 10 hands. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

Played correctly baccarat chemin de fer provides generally decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has some established false impressions. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of future actions. Keeping score of previous outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most familiar and possibly the most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This plan is employed to build up profits and minimizing losses.

Start by wagering 1 dollar. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a sum total of 3 units on the second bet. If you succeed you will now have 6 on the game table, subtract four so you keep 2 on the third round. Should you succeed on the 3rd bet, deposit two on the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the first round followed by a loss on the 2nd causes a hit of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a defeat on the 3rd provides you with a take of 2. And success on the initial three with a defeat on the fourth means you are even. Succeeding at all four bets gives you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you will be able to squander the second wager 5 instances for every successful run of 4 wagers and in the end, are even.
