Baccarat Chemin de Fer Rules

Punto banco is played with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards below ten are counted at their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The total for every hand is the sum of the two cards, although the 1st number is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a value of 1 (5 plus six equals eleven; drop the 1st ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the following rules:

- If the player or house achieves a value of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler stays, the banker takes a card on five or less. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to see if the banker holds or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a five percent rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out when you depart the game so ensure you have cash left over just before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a awful bet as ties happen less than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 versus eight to one)

Bet on correctly punto banco gives pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Course of Action

As with all games punto banco has a handful of familiar misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of events yet to happen. Tracking past outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our paper desires.

The most common and possibly the most successful scheme is the one, three, two, six tactic. This plan is used to build up earnings and limit risk.

Start by betting one dollar. If you succeed, add one more to the two on the game table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. If you win you will hold 6 on the game table, pull off 4 so you have two on the third wager. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd round, put down 2 on the 4 on the game table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a hit of one. A profit on the initial round followed by a loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Success on the first two with a loss on the third provides you with a gain of 2. And wins on the 1st three with a loss on the fourth means you are even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 rounds and still break even.
