Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are said to be at their printed number meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they only symbolize the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven and five will have a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be given depending on the foll. rules:
- If the player or banker has a score of 8 or 9, both gamblers stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pay out eight to 1 and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. However odds are noticeably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)
Played effectively, baccarat provides relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Tracking of old outcomes on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and possibly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-six method. This technique is used to increase winnings and limiting risk.
Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th bet.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
