Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are said to be worth face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely appear as the two hands to be played).
2 hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 as well as 5 gives a score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or nine, each players stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart is used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay eight to 1 but occasionally nine to 1. (This is a terrible wager as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are emphatically better – 9 to 1 versus eight to 1)
When played effectively, baccarat presents fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Monitoring of historic outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most popular and probably most successful technique is the one-3-two-6 method. This technique is deployed to magnify payout and limiting risk.
commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th gamble.
If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
