Baccarat Regulations
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of 10 are counted at their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely appear as the 2 hands to be played).
2 hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 has a total of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card can be given out depending on the following regulations:
- If the gambler or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, then both gamblers stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have funds remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out 8 to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties will occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. However odds are significantly better – 9 to 1 versus eight to 1)
Played effectively, baccarat provides generally good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of last results on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and possibly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-six technique. This tactic is employed to maximize payout and lowering risk.
start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
