Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are give a value of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they simply represent the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 will have a total of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be given out depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie typically pays out at 8 to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties occur less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are supremely better – 9 to 1 versus eight to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat presents fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is not an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of old conclusions on a chart is simply a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and probably most successful method is the one-3-two-six scheme. This plan is deployed to boost winnings and reducing risk.

commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
